Press, Recognition & Founder Features
PRESS Modern Massage
in the Media
From Vogue and The Wall Street Journal to Forbes, Women’s Health and New York Magazine’s Curbed, PRESS Modern Massage and founder Rachel Beider have been recognized for our therapeutic approach to massage, our role in New York City’s wellness community and our belief that exceptional care should feel both clinically informed and genuinely human.
Founded in Williamsburg in 2008, PRESS began with a simple idea: combine focused, results-oriented massage therapy with the warmth, calm and personal attention of a thoughtfully designed healing space.
One Company, Across Every Name
Our earliest features may use a different name.
PRESS began as Massage Williamsburg before expanding to include Massage Greenpoint and Massage Outpost in DUMBO. As the company grew, the studios were united under one name: PRESS Modern Massage.
Whether an article mentions Massage Williamsburg, Massage Greenpoint, Massage Outpost or PRESS Modern Massage, it documents a chapter in the evolution of the same company founded by licensed massage therapist Rachel Beider.
As Seen In
More Than a Media Mention
Recognition is meaningful. Helping people feel better is the point.
We are grateful every time a writer, editor, performer or wellness expert chooses to share the PRESS story. But the recognition we value most happens inside our studios: when a client feels heard, when a therapist creates a thoughtful and individualized session, and when someone leaves feeling more comfortable in their body than when they arrived.
That has been the purpose of PRESS since our first days as Massage Williamsburg—and it continues to guide every session today.
